The Golf day was held to raise funds for B.A.T.T.C which is a charity very close to New Biggin Golf Club and it's members. In the last two years the Ashington RAOB has raised over £10k for local charities and I would personaly like to thank all the local businesses who have supported today's Golf day and in particular Tom Spain who has put so much hard work into organising the event. Tom has had a number of heart problems in the last 5 years and he is also planning to run the Great North run in aid of B.A.A.T.C charity."
Nigel McMinn, Managing Director, Benfield Motor Group, "Benfield is a family owned business with family values and is delighted to help the fundraising efforts for this worthwhile cause by sponsoring the event. It's great to see so many sporting celebrities and local businesses give up their time and to raise valuable funds for charity."
