Benfield set to clean up with Duster.... and Dacia

25th July 2012 4:49PM

We are delighted to announce that Dacia is the latest new brand to join our growing portfolio of franchises. With the recent addition of Maserati we now have an impressive portfolio of fourteen different brand under the Benfield umbrella.

Dacia Duster

Dacia is a brand that you may not all have heard of but it’s arrived and we’re sure it’s going to make a big impact on the UK market. Dacia is part of the Renault Group and we are already open for business with dual franchise sites Renault and Dacia dealerships at Benfield Road, Newcastle and Rosehill, Carlisle.

In just over seven years, the Dacia brand has become a genuine global success story. In 2010, 350,000 people bought a new Dacia in 35 countries worldwide, making Dacia the fifth-bestselling passenger car brand in France (in 2011), as well as market leader in Romania and Morocco.

The first model available to order in the UK, the Dacia Duster 5-seat SUV, starts at £8,995. That price gives you a clue as to why they’re the fastest growing car brand in Europe and have been since 2004. The Duster won’t arrive in the UK until 2012 but we are already taking orders from a German left hand drive display model.

Rikki Ledger, General Manager, Renault Benfield Road said, “There’s a real buzz about the dealership with the arrival of Dacia. We’re getting a huge volume of enquiries and we’re already taking orders even though the cars won’t arrive for several months. Dacia’s a new brand in the UK but the success of the marquee in Europe and the incredible value to be found in the range is a recipe for success.”

“Dacia may be an unfamiliar brand to many of you but I’m convinced it’s going to shake up the UK market and with the Dacia Duster SUV starting at just £8995 I know we’re on to a real winner.”

As part of the Renault Group, Dacia uses clever sourcing and proven technology to ensure its cars are reliable, robust and affordable. From the Sandero hatchback to the Duster SUV, Dacia cars are simple to use and affordable to own. That’s why German customers voted Dacia their second favourite manufacturer in the J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Survey, in 2010, just behind Audi and ahead of Mercedes-Benz.
